This Privacy Policy governs the Blockd services offered by Block Enterprises LLC (“Blockd”, “we”, or “us”), including the Blockd messaging application (the “App”), the Blockd website (the “Website”), and our third-party social media platforms (“Social Media Platforms”).

Privacy is the foundation of Blockd.  Messages you send through the App are end-to-end encrypted. The App is designed so that we cannot read, access, store, or recover the content of your messages.

Blockd does not require a phone number, email address, or other personally identifying information to create an account.

By using or visiting the App, the Website, or our Social Media Platforms (together, the “Service”), you consent to this Privacy Policy.  Please read it carefully, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact us at info@blockd.ai or by writing to us at Blockd Enterprises LLC, Attn: Customer Service – Privacy, 5830 E 2nd Street, suite 7000 19479, Casper WY 82609.  When you use the Service, you also consent to our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Through the App
When you register with the Service, a cryptographic identity is generated on your device. This identity consists of public/private key material and a randomly generated identifier necessary for message routing. Your private keys remain on your device, are not transmitted to Blockd, and remain under your control.

You will also choose to add a profile name, avatar, or other display information. Such information is associated only with your Blockd identifier and is not linked to real-world identity information by Blockd.

The App provides tools for you to correct, update, or edit any personal information that you voluntarily provide.  You can edit your information at any time through the App

- Timestamps of request
Blockd limits the retention of Website Data to the minimum period reasonably necessary to operate and secure the Service after which it is regularly cleared from our servers. This data is not linked to App identities and is regularly cleared.

D. Additional Information You May Voluntarily Provide
If you contact Blockd Support, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as an email address or description of your issue.

Support communications are used solely for resolving your request and improving service reliability. Support-related information is not linked to your in-app identity unless you voluntarily provide specific identifying details.

You may also provide us with personal information to subscribe to updates or receive communications from us.  We only use this information for the purposes that the information is provided.  You may unsubscribe from email communications at any time in which case your email address will be removed from our mailing lists.

2. Cookies and Do Not Track
On the Website (but not the App), we or our Service Providers may use a technology called “cookies” and similar technologies.  A cookie is a small file that identifies you as a unique user.  We may use cookies to improve the quality of the Website and make the Website easier to use.  If you choose to do so, you can configure your browser to delete existing cookies or disable cookies altogether.

The Website does not respond to web browser “do not track” signals or other mechanisms that provide consumers the ability to exercise choice regarding the collection of Personal Information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time.

Visit www.donottrack.us to find out more about “do not track.”

3. Information That May be Collected by Third Parties.
A. Third Party App Providers
If you download the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, Apple or Google may collect diagnostic or usage information through telemetry systems built into their operating systems. This is a structural characteristic of modern mobile operating systems and applies to most apps installed through official app marketplaces.

This information is collected by the operating system provider — not by Blockd — and may be associated with your Apple ID or Google account.

Blockd does not control, access, or receive this telemetry data.

We encourage users concerned about operating-system-level telemetry to review:
- Apple’s Privacy Policy
- Google’s Privacy Policy

Users may obtain Android builds directly from blockd.ai to minimize third-party data exposure.

B. Payment Processors
If you subscribe to the App directly from Blockd, we use third-party payment processors.  Currently, we use Stripe.  You may review their privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.  We do not have access to the information (such as credit card information) that you provide to our payment processors.

C. Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google, Inc. (“Google”), to collect and summarize data regarding usage of the Website.  Google uses cookies to obtain this information.  We use the information obtained from Google Analytics to improve the Services.   To learn more about Google Analytics and Google’s privacy practices, please visit: www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/. For information on how to opt out of data collection by Google Analytics visit:   https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
4. How We Use Information
We use Technical App Information for operational and security purposes.

We use Website Data to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Website.

If you provide us with information for support purposes or to allow us to communicate with you, we use that information only for those purposes.

We do not use Technical App Information or Website Data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-service tracking purposes.

5. How We Share Information

Service Providers.  We may sometimes use other businesses (“Service Providers”) to perform certain services for us, e.g., to provide certain services on our behalf, such as payment processing and hosting.  We provide our Service Providers with the information reasonably necessary for them to perform the services on our behalf.  Each Service Provider must agree (a) to implement and maintain reasonable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information involved in order to protect your information from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure and (b) not to retain, use, or disclose the information for any purpose other than for the specific purpose of performing the services for us, or as otherwise permitted by law.  Because the App uses end-to-end encryption for message content, our Service Providers do not have access to the contents of user messages. Where encrypted data is processed by infrastructure providers for transmission or temporary storage, it remains encrypted and inaccessible to them.

Disclosure of Aggregate Usage Data. We may disclose aggregate usage data in order to describe the use of the Service to our existing or potential business partners, investors or other third parties. However, this aggregate data will not involve the disclosure of individual information and will not personally identify you or other users of the Service.

Other Authorized Disclosures. Notwithstanding anything in this Privacy Policy to the contrary, you understand and agree that Blockd may disclose information: (a) if we are legally required to do so (for example, in response to subpoenas, court orders or legal process) or to establish, protect or exercise our legal rights (including enforcing our Terms of Service), or defend against legal claims; (b) to protect the security of the Service; (c) to our corporate affiliates, joint venture partners or other companies under common control with Blockd (in which case we will require those entities to honor this Privacy Policy); or (d) if Blockd is acquired by or merged with another entity or in connection with a sale of our assets.

6. Links to Other Sites
The Service may contain links to websites operated and maintained by third parties.  We have no control over those third parties.  Privacy policies on such linked websites may be different from our Privacy Policy.  We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any such linked website you visit to understand how they collect, store, and use of your information. We are not responsible for third-party websites. Blockd and others visiting our social media pages may view and interact with information you enter on our social media pages, such as comments, videos, images, likes, public messages, etc. Blockd may delete content that you post to our pages should it be necessary, e.g., due to inappropriateness or regulatory guidelines. We may also use our social media accounts to communicate with you on these platforms. Interaction with Blockd on social media platforms is separate from use of the Blockd messaging application and is not linked to your in-app identity.

8. Security
As discussed above, message content transmitted through the App is protected using end-to-end encryption. Blockd does not possess the cryptographic keys required to decrypt message content. Private encryption keys are generated and stored on user devices and are not transmitted to Blockd servers. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their devices and safeguarding their authentication credentials.

In addition to application-level encryption, Blockd implements administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process in order to protect against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
